Washi Tape Frame

After seeing tons [and I mean TONS] of Washi Tape projects on other blogs & pinterest, I bought some! I bought 4 rolls from Pick Your Plum when they were only $1.50 a roll, score! I had an unfinished wood frame from Michaels [only $1] and here it is… my first Washi Tape project.

First I painted 2 coats of white paint on my frame, to help the tape stand out.

Why yes I’m painted on an egg carton I had from easter… It gave me a way to paint the top AND the sides without getting my fingers messy! Going to keep a few of these suckers to help me paint other projects!

After the paint is completely dry apply tape. I went over on both sides so the frame would be finished from the sides and the front.

Repeat lining up the pattern in the way you like. I prefer everything to be symmetrical I’m OCD in that way [and that way only].

When it came to the opening I made to cuts diagonally so the tape would wrap around the inside of the frame.

Keep lining the tape up until you’ve reached the bottom of the frame…

DONE!

I really love this pattern, so bright and cheerful!
